What is an ABW work environment? ABW, or Activity-Based Workplace, is a flexible approach to work environment design that prioritizes employee autonomy and choice. In an ABW workspace, employees are not assigned fixed workstations, but instead have access to a variety of different work areas and resources, including private offices, collaborative spaces, and quiet zones. ABW also emphasizes the use of technology to facilitate communication and collaboration, and encourages employees to choose the work setting that is best suited to their current task or project.

When it comes to optimizing audio quality, ABW environments are a challenge. For examples, some workstations can be used in rooms with wall mounted camera & speaker that introduce loud echo while other workstations are placed in noisy locations that introduce ambient noise. The goal of management is to find an application to optimize audio quality in for all workstations.
From application deployment perspective, one of the challenges in an ABW environment is that there is no standard setup for the workstations and the setup on each workstation is different. For example, each workstation might have different audio devices and also headsets are constantly being replaced. Therefore, if you want to introduce an application to improve audio quality in an ABW environment, this application must be very flexible and be able to automatically accommodate to the different setups of each workstation, room and headsets. It will not be practical to use an application that must be reconfigured every time you replace the headset or change workstation settings.
SoliCall Pro was developed to support such volatile environments. It is a flexible application that does not require constant modifications and it can automatically adapt to the different settings on each workstation. It will automatically detect the connected headsets and will work with any conferencing application like Cisco Webex, Teams, Zoom and similar. It will automatically identify the room’s equipment to provide the best audio quality regardless the room and audio device setup.
